A local church with a heart for Pocomoke City
Glad Tidings Assembly of God is a Bible-preaching, Spirit-led church family in Pocomoke City. For many years, God has used this church to share the gospel, disciple believers, and serve our community through prayer, outreach, and practical care.
We gather each week to worship Jesus, learn from His Word, and walk together through real life. We are not a perfect church, but we are a people who have seen God’s grace and want others to know it too.
Our story
Glad Tidings began as a small group of believers who wanted a place where the presence of God was welcome and the whole counsel of God’s Word was preached. Over the years the church has grown, moved, and changed in many ways, but the heart has stayed the same:
Lift up Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
Welcome people from every background
Be a lighthouse of hope in Pocomoke City and the Eastern Shore
Today we continue that story as we worship, teach, serve, and reach out to neighbors, families, and those in need.
Our team
God has given Glad Tidings a team of pastors and leaders who love Him and love people:

What we believe
At Glad Tidings Assembly of God, our beliefs are rooted in the Bible and aligned with the historic doctrines of the Assemblies of God, we believe:
The Bible: The Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. It is truth without error and our final authority for faith and life.
The One True God: There is one true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and is now exalted at the right hand of the Father. He is the only Savior of the world.
Salvation: Salvation is a gift of grace received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Through Him, we are forgiven, made new, and given eternal life.
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit: We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as a distinct experience following salvation, empowering believers for bold witness and effective service.
The Church: The Church is the Body of Christ, called to worship God, build up believers, and share the gospel with the world.
Divine Healing: We believe that healing is provided in Christ’s atonement and is available through prayer in faith.
The Blessed Hope: Jesus Christ will return again to gather His Church. We live with expectancy, hope, and readiness for His coming.
The Final Judgement and Eternal Destiny: There will be a final judgment. Those who trust in Christ will enjoy eternal life with Him; those who reject Him will face eternal separation.
