A local church with a heart for Pocomoke City
Glad Tidings Assembly of God is a Bible-preaching, Spirit-led church family in Pocomoke City. For many years, God has used this church to share the gospel, disciple believers, and serve our community through prayer, outreach, and practical care.
We gather each week to worship Jesus, learn from His Word, and walk together through real life. We are not a perfect church, but we are a people who have seen God’s grace and want others to know it too.
Our story
Glad Tidings began as a small group of believers who wanted a place where the presence of God was welcome and the whole counsel of God’s Word was preached. Over the years the church has grown, moved, and changed in many ways, but the heart has stayed the same:
Lift up Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
Welcome people from every background
Be a lighthouse of hope in Pocomoke City and the Eastern Shore
Today we continue that story as we worship, teach, serve, and reach out to neighbors, families, and those in need.
Our team
God has given Glad Tidings a team of pastors and leaders who love Him and love people:
Bob Blevins (Senior Pastor) – Preaches and leads the church in vision, prayer, and pastoral care.
Joshua George (Associate Pastor) – Shares preaching, leads Bible studies, and helps shepherd the flock.
Stephanie Dize (Youth Pastor) – Leads OverFlow Youth for students in grades 6–12.
Children’s Ministry Leader – Oversees Treasure Harbour for kids ages 4–11.
Deacons and Trustees – Provide spiritual and practical oversight, serving the church family behind the scenes.
What we believe
We stand in the stream of the evangelical Pentecostal faith and are part of the Assemblies of God denomination. In simple terms, we believe:
The Bible is God’s inspired Word, our final authority for what we believe and how we live.
God is one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again, and will return.
Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus alone, not by our good works.
The Holy Spirit fills and empowers believers to live holy lives and to serve with spiritual gifts.
The Church is the family of God, called to worship, grow, and carry the gospel to the world.
